Adjust Servings:
75 g Butter + extra for the muffin tin
300 g Plain flour + extra for the muffin tin
5 pods Cardamom
200 g Caster sugar
Salt
1 Egg
250 ml Milk
200 g +12 Strawberries
250 g Cream cheese
4 tbsp Honey
2 tbsp Sesame seeds

Preheat the oven to 175°C. Grease a muffin tin with butter and line with the flour. Peel the cardamom pods and grind the seeds in a mortar. Mix the flour with the cardamom, sugar and a pinch of salt.

Melt the butter. Beat the egg and add the milk and the melted butter. Add the milk mixture to the flour mixture and stir in short movements until it forms a loose batter.

Clean the strawberries and cut them in quarters. Stir the strawberries through the batter. Divide the batter over the muffin tray and bake the muffins golden brown in the oven for 20-25 minutes.

Remove the muffins from the oven and allow to cool. Give the cream cheese a good stir. Spoon a little cream cheese on each muffin, sprinkle with the honey and sesame seeds. Put a strawberry on top of each muffin.
