Well hello there, curious culinarian, and welcome to Food for the Madding Crowd!
Since you’re coming to this page, we’re guessing that means you want to know a little about this food blog and what exactly goes on here.
Let us introduce ourselves
We are Steven & Ann. We write, cook, take pictures, and learn about the food you’ll see here on Food for the Madding Crowd. We are from Belgium and as you can see, we have two little children, a girl and boy, named Aemilia and Aeneas.
You’ll found out soon we have a soft spot for keeping things simple and natural. Our favourite meals are typically humble, achievable at home and are packed with flavour from easily source-able ingredients.
We strive to use high-quality, all-natural and clean ingredients in our recipes.
What is Food for the Madding Crowd about?
This food blog is on a quest to explore the depths and hidden treasures of the Sweden (and with a regular side step into other scandinavian cuisines) and Italian cuisine. Both kitchens are renowned for their pureness and simplicity. We like them equally so we decided not to choose between them, but introduce them to you as two sides of the same coin. We’re on the pursuit of learning the recipes, cooking methods, ingredients and anything else that makes those cuisines so special and unique relative to the rest.
Therefore we shall invite you here each week to discover traditional and delicious recipes. We’ll also offer you an insight in the wonderful world of food in Sweden and Italy through interesting newsflashes and our own stories.
Enjoy your stay here!
